For 600k+ there should be no debate on the quality of their looks. Face it.. 2/3's of the sets look average at best.. they need improving..

The luxurious design already exists... It's called Vabbian.

And I totally disagree on the "redesign Obsidian" part, most people (except the first ones) who bought Obsidian knew what it looks like so there's no reason to change them.

"I was getting an idea from my guildies that Anet should either create a new costume with distinguished luxurious design (cost higher than Obsidian Armor) or redesign the current Obsidian Armor to make it more suitable to its price of 1 million gold."
you may still want read the full sentence i guess. if you breaking the complete sentence, you are in danger of twist its original meaning. all teacher's responsibility maybe.

No reason to change.

If you don't like it, don't buy it. If other people buy it and like it, does it affect you?

The only possible thing I can think that they might do is refine the detail a little, make edges sharper etc. to make it seem more quality. But really, how can you justify to anet however many hours of their designers time to do that when it is going to have absolutely no effect on gameplay, or who's going to buy it.

If they bring in another set, I really couldn't care less, but again, how are you justifying the use of designers time? Because you don't think the current sets look like they're worth how much they cost?

the designers are payed for creating and improving the game quality. remember, we are the consumer. your thinking went just opposite way. also plz read the full full sentence first. (see the post above)

If you want to look rich, get an expensive title.
If you want to have cool armor, buy armor that you like.
If you want to have cool armor and look rich, get an expensive title and good armor, you don't have to get fow to look rich if you don't like the armor.

Changing fow or creating a new set is just gonna piss everyone off who already has it.

My opinion of obsidian armor depends on the profession. Some are cool, some are okay, and some are downright ugly. But I could never own a set of obsidian armor, no way could I have that amount of cash. hehe Here are my rankings:

Good:
Dervish
Mesmer
Necromancer

Okay:
Monk
Paragon
Ranger
Ritualist (hat is ugly though)
Warrior

Ugly:
Assassin
Elementalist

And Lyra wins. Since you're obviously blind to the posts saying that others do like it and didn't take into consideration that there are only a fraction of people who play Guild Wars that bother to come to any form of fan-sites. If you can have IRREFUTABLE PROOF that every single person in the game hates the armour, including those wearing it, I will believe you. Prove me wrong. You have 10 minutes before I get bored with you.

Are you staying in the same subject?
How can people have the new armor set before it gets created?

"it" referring to fow armor. How would you feel if you spent 750k on a set of fow armor, and then a set that also costs the same comes out 2 weeks later and it looks better.

Maybe instead of new fow armor, they should have obsidian weapons

Heck i'd be pissed if they did anything like that

woo, I feel my post is getting hot (33 posts out of 15 min)
I like the Obsidian weapons idea too. also I will say if new sets looks better then make it more expensive than obsidian armor.
let's post more ideas and we will make some change ^^

Still, I don't think the majority of players who are concerned by this request (why should the casual player who will never be able to buy a single place of Obsidian change it ?) want to change Obsidian...

I know you dont think so. that's why we are discussing here. I know quite a lot players who didn't buy Obsidian Armor because of its appearance not the money issue. Also sometime Anet makes some changes before you are even aware of.

It also helps that you keep responding every 5 min and I'm just bored from wokring on my essay. Why don't you make a new thread about obsidian weapons (we need something that can match anybody's armor, non dyable purple and orange weapons don't match well with anything) if u want that idea to get noticed, but still anet can't create a set of armor that pleases everyone.

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ht=Fugly+Armor read that

People have different styles, even in real life. In high school, this really shows. You have the goths, preps, jocks, geeks, etc.... They all look different because they all like different stuff. You really can't create something that everyone likes.

plz remember everytime Anet making changes/adjustments to the game does not base on everyone's interest. Just as you realized, everyone are different. but Anet still made all the changes base on the interests they thought are the most important. and that's why im making my suggestions here.

Armor often looks a bit different "in person" than it does in pictures. I had no idea Dervish Monument was so damn SHINY before I bought it...
